What is VibeCoding
VibeCoding is the practice of building applications, websites, and digital tools by directing an artificial intelligence (Claude Code, by Anthropic) in plain language, without writing code. You describe what you want to build and the AI executes it under your direction. You don't need to know how to program: your job is to direct, review, and decide.
How VibeCoding works
In traditional programming, a person translates an idea into code line by line. In VibeCoding, the AI does that step. The process is a directed conversation:
- You describe the result you want, in your own words.
- The AI (Claude Code) builds it: it writes the code, creates the files, and connects the services.
- You review and correct in plain language ("the button should be on the right", "connect it to this database").
- It ships online with its own URL, actually working.
The underlying shift is that the focus moves from the how (syntax, languages) to the what (the problem you want to solve). That's why someone with no technical background can do it.
What you can build
Almost any software idea: web applications, internal tools for your company, process automations, dashboards, AI agents that run 24/7, prototypes to validate an idea, or custom websites. And not as a mockup — connected to real data and shipped online.
Who VibeCoding is for
Anyone with an idea and no technical team: executives and CEOs who want to stop depending on vendors, founders who want to validate fast, professionals who want to automate their work, students, and creatives. The common thread among people who do VibeCoding isn't knowing how to code — it's having a problem to solve.
What tools are used
The core piece is Claude Code, by Anthropic, acting as a development copilot. Around it you use standard industry services: Vercel to deploy, Airtable or Supabase for data, GitHub for version control, and Brevo for email. You just provide each service's key; the AI connects everything.
VibeCoding vs. coding with AI
They're not the same. "Coding with AI" assumes you already know how to program and use the AI as an assistant that speeds up your work. VibeCoding reverses the roles: the AI executes and you direct, without writing code. It's the difference between using an assistant and directing a team.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to code to do VibeCoding?
No. It's designed precisely for people with no technical background. Instead of writing code, you describe the result you want and the AI builds it. Your job is to direct, review, and decide.
What can you build with VibeCoding?
Web applications, internal tools, automations, dashboards, AI agents, prototypes and websites — connected to real data and shipped online, in hours instead of weeks.
How long does it take to learn?
The fundamentals, in one intensive day. In a VibeCoding School workshop, a team goes from zero to a real, working AI tool in a single day — with no prior technical knowledge.
